Within our resourced provision, we recognise that every child is unique, with individual strengths and learning needs. We provide a personalised approach that supports children’s physical, social, emotional, and academic development, enabling them to reach their full potential in a way that is right for them.
Our resourced provision includes two specialist classes designed to meet the needs of pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2:
- Copse Class, supporting pupils from Year 1 to Year 3, provides a nurturing environment with a focus on early communication, social development, and foundational learning skills.
- Woodlands Class, supporting pupils from Year 4 to Year 6, offers a structured and supportive setting that promotes independence, confidence, and preparation for transition to secondary education.
The curriculum within our resourced provision is flexible and responsive, carefully tailored to the individual targets outlined in each child’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and Learning Plan. Progress is tracked using iASEND, enabling staff to monitor development in small, meaningful steps, celebrate achievement, and inform future planning.
Learning in our resourced provision is practical, engaging, and meaningful. Lessons are planned to be multi-sensory, using a wide range of resources to support understanding and promote enjoyment. Staff work closely alongside children, modelling language, communication, and positive interactions to support the development of social and communication skills within a nurturing environment.
